Sandra Maynard-Jones

Sandra Maynard-Jones was born in London, England of Barbadian parents Earl and Vera Maynard. However, she spent her formative and young adult years in Barbados. After attending the St. John’s Primary School, the St. Michael’s School, and the Barbados Community college, she spent some time in the teaching profession, and several years in the hospitality industry working at the prestigious Sandy Lane Hotel. After emigrating to the U.S. in 1984, she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management.

Sandra has worked in a managerial capacity in both the Telecommunications Industry and the Public Sector at the City and County levels. Sandra is currently semi-retired as she is a Guest Teacher for the Moreno Valley Unified School District. Sandra loves traveling and makes frequent visits to Barbados where she still has family members and friends.

Sandra regularly attends the Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Riverside, California. Sandra is married to Dwight Jones and between them they have 5 children and 14 grandchildren.

Sandra’s philosophy in life is the Golden Rule, “Treat others as you want to be treated”.
